Book Review: Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

Sky in the Deep

A young warrior is confronted with the return of her brother after his death. When she finds that he is alive and is begrudgingly saved by his new tribe, she soon learns that her enemies may be her only hope.

  • The cultural framework of the warring cultures was intriguing especially because I don’t know much about vikings.
  • The whole story was action-packed, and the battles were well-choreographed and easy to visualize.
  • The main character was so vastly different than modern characters, but her development made her relatable and helped me feel entrenched in her deeply foreign world.

Least Favorites:

  • The romance escalated too quickly and didn’t feel genuine after all of the resistance.
